Eat More to Lose Weight Often?

This may go against basic logic when it comes down to improving your health and to lose weight. But, yes, it is true, you need to eat more to lose weight often. Read on for details.

First things first. To effectively lose weight and burn fat, you must incorporate all of the basic principles to improve your health and body. Those basic principles are drinking plenty of water, getting 7-9 hours of sleep EVERY night, cardio and weight training exercising, and proper nutrition. Proper nutrition will consist of eating foods rich in protein, plenty of fiber, healthy fats (monounsaturated), complex carbohydrates, and foods with a healthy balance of vitamins and minerals such as fruits and vegetables.

You already know that in order to lose weight you have to eat correctly. But, do you know how you should eat to lose weight fast?

The way you should eat to lose weight fast, is by eating several small meals daily.

By eating several small healthy meals daily, you are boosting your metabolism. By boosting your metabolism your body will burn calories and fat off at a much more consistent and quicker time frame. If you skip meals, you will slow down your metabolism. By slowing down your metabolism, you are causing your metabolism to go into survival mode. When this happens, your metabolism will begin to store calories instead of burning them off!

There are several other ways to boost your metabolism. Eating several small healthy meals a day is a natural and the most simplest way to boost your metabolism.

To stay consistent with eating small meals daily, (as I know this can be challenging for those with a busy lifestyle), is by planning your meals the night before. A mid-day meal can consist of fat free yogurt, a banana, and some almonds. A meal like that is fast, healthy, small, and contains everything within proper nutrition.

The amount of meals I recommend to eat daily is 6. That number sounds like a lot, but when you eat a meal like the one above, it's not difficult at all.

Please keep in mind that you MUST get your recommended daily calorie intake. If based off of your height, age, and body-weight, you are supposed to get 2,300 calories a day, you need to eat 2,300 calories a day. By reducing the amount of calories your body needs, this will also slow down your metabolism. Obviously, make sure that all of the calories you take in daily are from proper nutrition. You'll burn off those calories by boosting your metabolism, weight training (very important since building muscle burns more calories than cardio alone), and cardio training.

I wish you the best of success in getting yourself in better health! Good Luck!
