Eat All You Want And Still Lose Weight?

"Eat all your favorite foods! Eat as much as you want, of whatever you want, and still lose weight!"

Have you heard claims like this before?

This sounds too good to be true doesn't it?

That's because it is.

Here's what I say if you want to maximize your results:

Know and understand what you're putting into your mouth.

Am I starting to scare you? Well I hope not - you don't have to be extreme here, but you also do not want to rely on luck to become lean, do you?

Do you know why so many people are selling this concept to people?

Because people WANT to believe it.

I will say this though: If you are very overweight then "maybe" you will see some results if you go from eating two or three times a day to five or six...even if you are eating food with little nutritional value. (junk food)

But if someone is telling you this is actually going to lead you to the body of your dreams then, well...

I hate to spoil the party but it's just not going to happen.

Does the truth sting a little? Well, then I have some very empowering news for you. Eating high-quality, nutritious food can be enjoyable and even incredibly delicious.

Yes, it's true!

In the book Living Life Lean I address exactly what kind of fuel is going to optimize your results, but for now let's use a little common sense and agree to the obvious:

What you eat DOES matter.

Exercise For Weight Loss And Fitness!

The market for weight loss and fitness programs in today's climate is vast. The choice can be a discouragement to the many people who are seeking a way to a healthier life. The fact is a program which works brilliantly for one, may be doomed for failure when attempted by others.

Which Path To Follow?

The reason why there are so many failures has nothing to do with people, but usually with the programs themselves, so it becomes a case of who to trust. Ultimately, you have to look for a program whose foundation is a balance of supportive nutrition and exercise.

Many people starting out on a new weight loss program have probably heard the various myths over and over again. One of them being, that if you want to lose weight, you have to lots of cardio, this is not exactly true. Doing twenty minutes of cardiovascular exercise in your Target Heart Zone (THZ), will give your body all the chance of burning fat it needs. I think that most people could fit 20 minutes of exercise into their hectic lives.

You Need Guidance And Support!

Where a lot of these programs fail to deliver, is the lack of help and support, which in my opinion is an important factor for someone who is starting on the weight loss and fitness road. People have questions that need to be answered, we all have needs. The problem is finding the right program to suit those needs. Many programs are run by so called 'experts' who in reality, have no experience of what it actually feels like to be over-weight, or what it takes to successfully lose it.

Knowledge about what is happening inside your body when you exercise is important, and the more you have, the less chance there will be of falling pray to these so called gurus promises.

The Truth About Weight Loss!

The fact of the matter is, weight loss will only occur when your energy output is higher the your calorie intake. There are no exceptions. Sometimes when you start working out, the pounds seem to go up instead of down on the scale. But don't worry, this is because lean muscle mass weighs more then fat. Although you should be able to tell by the way that your clothes fit you, that you're actually starting to lose body fat.

The Advantages Of A Healthy Lifestyle.

To be active is so important for you health. And the relationship between any form of exercise and fat loss goes hand in hand. In this day and age, we're all aware of the health risks of being overweight, as well as personal feelings of tiredness, lethargy and unattractiveness. That's why so many are claiming their health back and starting to exercise.

The more you exercise, the more benefits become apparent. Then you can start to take control of your life again.

How Many Calories Should I Eat To Lose Weight?

One of the main question that I've been asked many times by clients is 'How many calories should I eat to lose weight'. The moment I hear this question, I know I have another uphill task. People who have been exposed to calorie concept (i.e. Eat less, stay slim) don't want to get away from this idea/belief.

Most people understand if they burn 3500 calories and they'll lose 1 pound of weight. So if they plan to lose 10 pounds all they need is to burn 35,000 calories. They seems very basic and simple to understand, no wonder people love this belief to death. but my question is

When you burn these calories, you'll burn 1 pound of WHAT?

Now here's the twister for you. I said you'll lose 1 pound of weight, that means you'll lose water weight and muscles (not fat). You don't lose fat by exercising. Think of fat loss as a side effect of exercising. Now whenever you lose muscles, you are slowing down your metabolism. Which means your body will burn less calories per day when you are not working out.

Did you knew that one pound of muscle burns 50 calories per day without exercising?

If you add 10 pound of new muscles in your body, you'll burn 500 calories per day, 3500 calories per week. Oh, by the way, if you add muscles and lose fat, you'll look not only slimmer but also younger. Now we comes to main question...

How many calories you should eat?

This question has been nightmare of most of the fitness trainer I know of... Because the answer is "It depends" on what you eat. If you get all the calories from Veggies, fruits and other healthy foods, then you can eat more calories sometimes you can even eat 3000 calories and still lose ton of weight. If you eat in fast food joints all day, then you have no other choice than dropping calorie...

I know people who have been eating clean and eating more than 3500 calories and yet they were losing fat. The reason is very simple, their body never experienced a nutrition rich state and when they get all the nutrition, their body burns useless fat like butter on hot stove.

So in the end choice is yours, do you want to just lose weight or want a toned body with new younger you.

As time passes, that improvement will definitely take place, trust me.

There are many recent studies that you may read, which explain the reason of this interesting factor, but in the meantime, you need to know that subconscious programming is the most efficient weight loss method, just picture yourself being the physical person that you want to become, and convince yourself that following a weight loss plan is exactly what you are going to do, because you already know that you will lose weight. Weight Loss with Slim Fast

Slim fast has been around for several years and now has a new look. They have added food items to there product list. They now have snack bars to help you make it through the day. Probably the most significant thing they are marketing is a new dieting concept

Slim fast is moving from a diet plan that was primarily to help lose a few vanity pounds. They have introduced an aggressive diet plan to help those who need to lose more than a few vanity pound. After reviewing there revised diet plan, I like the new plan much better. I have been fairly active all my life and the thought of going though a half a day on a souped up milk shake didn't set to well with me. Their new dieting philosophy appears to recognize that problem. The slim fast shake is not a stand alone meal any more although they call their shake a meal on the run. They also seem to be suggesting several small meals during the day. This several small meals concept has been around for quite some time and has gained acceptance with some dietitians. In between their low calorie meals they recommend snacking on the specially formulated snack bars to suppress any hunger.

Their shake mixes and snack bars are formulated to provide many necessary nutrients and vitamins. I was encouraged to see their recommended food suggestion to be eaten along with the shake. Slim Fast has available suggested diet plans that take into consideration your height, weight and the number of pounds that need to be shed. There is also a planning and tracking system to plan out your meals and record what you have done.

If you are dieting or plan to diet, Slim Fast has a system that could be a big benefit. This is no longer a crash diet as I once thought Slim Fast was. Slim Fast has stood the test of time and it looks as though they are expanding. The test of time means they are still getting results. They have a interesting and very informative website. Check it out at www.slim-fast.com

When dieting or considering a diet, pay close attention to the amount of dietary fiber available. Select those foods that are high in dietary fiber. Green vegetables and grains are a good source as they contain varying amounts of dietary fiber.

Dieting with Slim Fast has improved. They are also suggesting that you alter your life style to incorporate exercise into your daily routine. They have a good plan.

Starting a Weight Loss Workout Program

In the world today, millions of people are either overweight or obese. Medical experts believe that this number is growing at an epidemic rate. One of the biggest contributing factors is the alarming lack of exercise for most people. This is especially true for children. They often spend most of their free time in front of the TV or playing the latest computer game rather than playing more active games outside.

One way to combat the effects of obesity is to develop a weight loss workout program. Depending on the degree of obesity, this can be difficult for the person suffering from the weight problem.

When you think of a weight loss workout program, what comes to mind? For most people, the image is a strenuous workout on huge machines, huffing and puffing, struggling to catch a breath, with your clothes soaked with sweat, and a lot of other people around to watch them. They often feel like they will be laughed at, and in turn, choose to do nothing. This puts their health and possibly their lives at risk.

The truth is, that a weight loss workout program can include many different types of workouts. It can be as simple as starting out taking walks around the block and increasing the distance every month. Buying a treadmill may give you the incentive to start a weight loss workout program in the privacy of your own home. You can gradually work up to a fitness center when they feel comfortable doing so. A weight loss workout program can be as aggressive as you choose.

For those who want to join a fitness center, and have no idea what type of workout program is right for them, there are personal trainers who can assist you in forming a weight loss workout program that is perfect for you.

Before you start, however, it is important that you remember to consult your physician first. Before starting any type of weight loss workout program you need to rule out any underlying problems. Once you get started, you will be surprised at how easy it is to add your new routine as a daily habit. The key is to start slowly, then gradually build up your time as it becomes easier.

A weight loss exercise plan does not have to mean deprivation or back-breaking exercise routines. To discover simple strategies for lasting weight loss and a free book of delicious recipes, be sure to check out my Painless Weight Loss blog at: http://www.painless-weight-loss.com/

Whey Protein and Weight Loss

Whey protein and weight loss might seem like water and oil; they just dont' go together. This is probably because for years protein supplements were the preferred choice of only elite bodybuilders. We pictured these athletes bulking up by adding extra protein to their diet.

Bodybuilders bulk up by lifting weights and not by consuming protein. If all you did was add more protein to your diet you would gain fat and not muscle. However, if you are eating the proper amount of lean protein as part of a balanced daily diet you can turn your body into a fat-burning machine.

Whey protein is found in many weight loss products and meal replacement food items. It is the whey protein isolates that are especially desirable for weight loss because of their low-fat and low-carbohydrate content. When you combine the proper amount of whey protein and a well-rounded exercise program you will build lean muscle mass. This muscle will burn more calories and start melting away your excess body fat.

You would probably agree with most other dieters that it is hunger that usually wins out over your desire to lose weight. Calorie-restricting diets have this very natural effect on our bodies. Severely reducing calories is never successful for long term weight loss. But hunger makes creating a moderate calorie deficit difficult. Whey protein has been shown to combat these feelings of hunger by promoting hormones responsible for appetite suppression. This can significantly contribute to your weight loss program by preventing late night snacking and even binge eating at the end of the day.

Whey protein and weight loss have also been linked because of whey protein's ability to prevent stress eating. Maybe you've eaten a handful of cookies and afterward realized that you weren't even hungry at the time. We've all done this and many times it is related to stress. That is why stress and obesity are closely related. Whey protein stimulates the production of a natural relaxation hormone, serotonin. Serotonin lowers anxiety levels and helps stop us from stress eating. For many people, this alone will help them lose weight and body fat.

We are well aware of the rise in obesity and diabetes. Whey protein and weight loss have been researched to determine if whey has an effect on insulin sensitivity. It does appear that whey protein improves insulin sensitivity and aids in weight loss through this mechanism.

If you are going to lose weight exercise will be an important part of the process. Whey protein helps you maximize the weight loss benefits of exercise. Research has shown that whey protein helps you gain lean muscle mass when you work out and this muscle increases your body's ability to burn fat.

Based on scientific research and the experience of many successful losers of body fat, a whey protein shake might be a great-tasting addition to your list of foods that will help you lose those extra 10 pounds.

Weight Loss Incentive

Sometimes we don't feel motivated to diet unless we have a compelling weight loss incentive.

Let's face it. How can we spend the next several weeks or months sacrificing all of the foods that we love? How can we go without sweets, breads, and fatty foods? We all know that the ultimate incentive is the weight loss. Nevertheless, our minds are oftentimes not willing to make the sacrifices necessary to achieve our goals because the road to get there is fraught with hardships.

What if you could find a diet that addresses all of your concerns? If you could follow a diet that allowed you to eat as much as you want to your satisfaction, would you follow it? If you could follow a diet that required you to eat plentiful food from each of the four major food groups, would you take it on? If you knew that you had the flexibility to choose your own personalized menu plan, and that you were required to eat four full meals every day, would you jump on the chance? What if you knew that by following the diet plan, you would lose 9 pounds every 11 days? If you could follow a diet that requires you to take a mandatory 3-day break from your diet every two weeks, would that be motivation enough to follow it?

This is not just wishful thinking. These are some of the weight loss incentives that constitute a real diet plan. The calorie shifting diet is a revolutionary new diet regimen that is gaining widespread popularity and joining the ranks of the other "mainstream" diet plans out there.

Calorie shifting is basically a diet plan that focuses not on the quantity of the food you eat, but the deliberate regrouping of which foods you eat when. By shifting the types of calories you eat from meal to meal, you can trigger the appropriate metabolic response in your body that induces the burning of fat. It doesn't matter how much you eat, but what you eat and when, that achieves this effect.

The Number 1 Weight Loss Technique That Nobody Knows About

There is a simple way to aid your weight loss process that everyone either forgets, passes over, or just plain doesn't know about. It's free, and only takes minutes a day. What could be so simple yet nearly guarantee a level of success in conjunction with a good weight loss program?

It's simple. Just keep a food journal.

Did you know that most people have no idea how many calories they consume in a day? Even professional dietitians and doctors often underestimate their daily caloric intake by as much as 20%! How is this possible?

The culprit lies in the "sneaky" calories that reside in things like 3 extra taco chips, an extra mouthful from your spouse's plate, or a few M&M's grabbed on the way out of the kitchen. Totaled together, these overlooked activities can add up to several pounds in mere months.

Consider it this way: A typical taco chip has about 8-10 calories in it. Eat 5-6 extra chips per day, and changing nothing else, you could gain up to 6 pounds over the course of a year! And you probably never even noticed what you were doing.

The simple thing is this: most people watch what they eat at mealtimes, which is great. But people often fail to notice the "in-betweens." By keeping a strict food journal and writing down everything you eat, you will become aware of all the little extras that are piling up and ruining your weight loss efforts.

In conjunction with proven weight loss programs and dietary changes as well as an increase in exercise, keeping a food journal can almost guarantee that you will lose weight.

Finding the calorie counts in the foods you eat can be as easy as looking at the nutrition facts on the back of the box. Finding calorie counts for fast food and other "non-listed" foods is as easy as searching Google.

Of course, you should invest in a good weight loss plan to help you begin to make better food choices.

Calorie Shifting Meal Plan

There is a new diet regimen that is gaining popularity across the world known as the calorie shifting meal plan. As the name implies, it is a diet based on the theory that shifting your calories from meal to meal, from day to day, will trigger the appropriate metabolic response that will induce fat burning and thus rapid weight loss.

Calorie shifting differs from other diet regimens in that you are not restricting the quantity or the types of food that you eat. You can eat as much as you want from all four food groups while you are on this diet. The only caveat is that you must group your calories together in accordance with the pattern that is most conducive to fat loss.

You can lose as many as 9 pounds in 11 days without ever feeling hungry or deprived. In fact, you must eat 4 meals every day, and you can eat as much as you want until you are satisfied, but not until you are too full. (Stuffing yourself is counterproductive to the weight loss process.)

The rules of this diet are very simple and straight-forward, as outline below:

  1. Eat only until you are satisfied but not until you are too full.

  2. Leave a minimum gap of 2.5 to 3 hours between meals.

  3. Eat only the foods prescribed to you according to the calorie shifting meal plan at each meal.

  4. You must eat exactly 4 meals per day, no more and no less.

  5. You have a choice to eat any of the 4 meals in any order throughout the day.

  6. You must take a 3-day break from the diet on days 12 through 14 of your diet, before you may resume the diet again. This is to give your body a chance to rest from the rapid weight loss that you will be experiencing.

Here are some sample meal plans that you would be following. The diet plan lasts for 11 days but only 3 days are included here, just to give you an idea of how the plan is structured and to give you a sense of how satisfying and sustainable this diet truly is. Keep in mind that each of these four meals may be eaten in any order throughout the day, as long as you only eat that the designated foods at each of their respective meals.

Day 1:

Meal #1: Scrambled Eggs Meal

Meal #2: Sandwich (any type)

Meal #3: Flavored Oatmeal

Meal #4: Tuna Salad

Day 2:

Meal #1: Cottage Cheese

Meal #2: Scrambled Eggs [and] Mixed Vegetables

Meal #3: Chicken

Meal #4: Banana Milk Shake

Day 3:

Meal #1: Chicken

Meal #2: Fish Filet

Meal #3: Cottage Cheese

Meal #4: Fruit Salad

How would you like to be 9 pounds lighter 11 days from now? The Calorie Shifting Diet will get you there! Learn how at: http://www.CalorieShiftingDiet.info

Weight Loss Success Stories - My Own Success Story

We read weight loss success stories in advertisements in magazines, and see the weight loss success stories on info-mercials with "results are not typical" at the bottom of the screen. It's kind of depressing sometimes.

So, I decided that I would like to share my real weight loss success story with you. My hope is that it will help motivate you on your path to weight loss, or give you the push you need to commence your own weight loss program.

For me, it all started years ago. I would diet all the time. I would see some weight come off, feel good about myself, start eating normally again and pile all the weight back on. Every diet I went on would follow this pattern. I was your classic yo-yo dieter.

A few months ago I decided enough was enough and I was going to get rid of my yo-yo habit (I kicked cigarettes years ago, so I was sure I could kick another addiction!). I commenced a new program. This program would involve eating normally. This program would not involve starvation and eventual relapse. This program would involve some exercise. I planned to not only lose weight, but become healthy. I would target weight from fat, not weight from water.

I picked up a copy of a commercially available weight loss and (more importantly) weight control program.

The essence of the program is as follows:

1. Rather than eating three meals a day, change your habits and space your meals out to six per day.

2. Do some light exercise.

There are some things you need to calculate at first and some other things you need to measure, but basically that's it!

Using this program I have managed to lose about 20 pounds in two months. I am now a shadow of my former self. Importantly, I lost this weight without going hungry. As for maintenance, there's nothing to change-- I am eating more than enough food with more than enough variety and I can have a binge when I like.

I hope this weight loss success story was motivating in some way for you and helps you find it within yourself to achieve your long-term health goals.

Get Thinner Fast

Four Ways to Win

THE RIGHT FOOD, AT THE RIGHT TIME, IN THE RIGHT AMOUNT, WITH THE RIGHT EXERCISE

I am a 35 year old 250 pound female (one month ago I was 260 pounds). I have battled with weight loss from the age of eight years old. After reading and researching and implementing I recognized a few things needed to win the battle and I will share them with you.

DO NOT hate your fat cells. They are wonderful. They are designed for an important function. They make fat from sugar and fatty acids. If they need more room for storage space, they expand. If they need still more, they make new cells and fill them with fat. They are marvels at storing energy in the form of fat. Its their specialty. In one pound they can store 3,500 calories, though the liver can pack only 250 calories in a pound of its energy-storage medium, glycogen.

Fat cells receive and obey signals. They cushion vital organs. They release their energy upon demand, supplying it as fuel for the bodys working cells. At times they receive emergency signals and spring into action. When sent life-threatening messages, they take lifesaving measures. They start hoarding their fat, holding it in reserve for the impending crisis.

It is now clear that fat plays an important, though incompletely understood role, in the bodys immune system. Fat cells can receive a false message and misinterpret it as a crisis; a crash diet may send fat cells the same message as would famine or starvation. Instead of fat breaking down, it is actually conserved, curtailing the release of calories to a trickle. But the fat cells have no way of knowing the difference. They react as they were designed to react. They hoard their energy for what they foresee as a future and more crucial need than the present. Parents magazine for March 1987 offers a possible explanation: The more often you dietthe more frequently your body senses youre gearing up for a faminethe more resistant the fat cells become to releasing their precious commodity. The body intervenes to cope with the current crisis by turning muscle into glucosethe brain must have its glucose or the whole organism will close shop! But you do not want to lose muscle; you want to lose fat. Crash diets are not the winning way. Then what is? The winning ways, plural, are: the right food, at the right time, in the right amount, with the right kind of exerciseand the right mental attitude. The dieter himself must be in the drivers seat. Whether you reach your goal or not is up to you.

Some nutritionists are now coming around to the conviction that the body has less tendency to accumulate fat deposits if meals are eaten more frequently and served in smaller portionswithout a reduction in the daily food intake. They have also found that the meal which is most important and should therefore make the largest caloric contribution to a persons day is breakfast. Eat a variety and eat enough. You have learned what will happen if you panic the fat cells by stingy eating! On a weight-loss experiment, rats were given only one meal a day. During the study, their enzymes responsible for depositing fat increased tenfold. The report said: It was as if their bodies were saying, The minute more food comes along, Im ready to lay down extra fat just in case this stress happens to me again! So if you have to diet, dont make the mistake of fasting or eating just one meal a day (essentially a 23-hour fast).

In any effective weight control program, exercise is essential. Regularity of exercise is more important than intensity.Conns Current Therapy.
